The Nature Reserve
Since 1977 the churchyard has been managed to protect its wildlife. The area near to the church is kept tidy for the benefit of the worshipers, wedding guests and photographers.

There are nature trails to explore and displays in the visitor centre. A short trail which takes about half an hour has white tapping boards to help those with poor sight who use sticks, and the surface of the path is good for wheelchairs and pushchairs. The longer trail around the whole reserve takes about 1 hour.

The visitors centre was officially opened by Queen Elizabeth II in December 1983. on the ground floor there is a small display, a souvenir shop and toilets. Upstairs is a teaching room and staff workshops.

Check the Nature Reserve's home page for opening times.
